Killam Doctoral Scholarship for International Students
The University of British Columbia in association Izaak Walton Killam Memorial Fund for Advanced Studies was designed to support advanced education and research at five Canadian universities and the Canada Council for the Arts.
Approximately 15-20 awards are made each year
Annual Value: $30,000 per annum for two years and a $2,000 allowance for research-related travel during the 24 months of the scholarship.

Eligibility:
To be eligible to apply for Killam Doctoral Scholarship funding, applicants must have completed no more than 24 months of doctoral study as of the start date of the scholarship. Therefore, applicants to the fall 2016 competition must have completed no more than 24 months of doctoral study as of September 1, 2017.

Evaluation Criteria:
Evaluated as per Affiliated Fellowships. Top students in the competition are awarded Killam Doctoral Scholarships.
Application Procedures:
Applicants submit their application materials to the College of Graduate Studies. Please note that students who submit a NSERC doctoral or a SSHRC doctoral award application to the College of Graduate Studies and are successfully forwarded to the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies (G+PS), are automatically considered for Killam Doctoral Scholarship funding. These students do not need to submit a separate Affiliated Fellowship application.
Applicants may submit complete application forms directly to graduateawards.ok@ubc.ca or submit a hard (paper) copy to the College of Graduate Studies.
