The Behavioral Science group at WBS focuses on the interaction between the natural and social science approaches to understanding behavior. The group is highly interdisciplinary, using methods drawn from psychology, economics, philosophy, and statistics. The group conducts basic and applied research, and has many links to industry.
The Studentships Warwick Business School (WBS) is pleased to invite applicants for two fully funded PhD Studentships.
Two studentships will be funded by the EPSRC, and are joint with Behavioural Science and the Global Energy Group. These studentships focus on how people make decisions about heating and cooling in residential markets. This will be applied research, involving business case analysis, field research and experimentation. Students with backgrounds in engineering psychology, human factors or related disciplines are encouraged to apply. Supervision will be by David Elmes from Global Energy, and Daniel Read from Behavioural Science.

Funding Details: The Studentships will pay an annual maintenance allowance at the standard rate of £13,590 (based on the ESRCâs current rate) and Tuition Fees at the Home/EU rate
Length of Award: 3 years (PhD)
Eligibility: Open to both Home/EU and Overseas applicants. Overseas applicants are welcome to apply but, if successful, will have to pay the difference between the Home/EU and Overseas Fees.
