MA Scholarships

The School of History at the University of East Anglia is offering a number of scholarships, including two full studentships, for Masters of Arts applicants starting in September 2013.

An MA in the School of History, based in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, combines breadth of choice with depth of study. Students can choose from a number of excellent courses, all carefully constructed and taught by specialists with relevant research interests and reputations. Unlike some MA courses which ‘mix-and-match’ large numbers of small modules, our students take a year-long module in combination with other specialist modules, which allowing them to really explore the subject in detail.

The University has been ranked in the top two per cent of universities in the world and has a tradition of producing creative and innovative research both within and across disciplines.

MA Courses
Our MA courses are offered on a one-year full-time or two-year part-time basis:

  • MA Early Modern History
  • MA Landscape History
  • MA MSc Environmental Sciences and Humanities
  • MA Medieval History
  • MA Modern British History
  • MA Modern European History  

MA Scholarships
There are a range of scholarships available for September 2013, including those that cover tuition fees at the UK/EU rate. The School of History is also offering two studentships which include tuition fees and a maintenance grant. Scholarships will be awarded on academic merit and the overall strength of the MA application. To view the full range of scholarships available please see our website. 

How to Apply for a Scholarship
To be considered for an award, you need to make an application for an MA course. You do not need to submit a separate application form to be considered for a scholarship. Applications must be made no later than 1 March 2013.
