Salary Details: Grade 6: £32,600 per annum
Allowances: £2,323 per annum LWA
This position is for a post-doctoral research associate, ideally with previous experience in the study of T-cell immunology and/ or adoptive immunotherapy of cancer. The post is funded for 9 months by the KCL Commercialisation Institute and is primarily based at Guys Hospital, although it is possible that some work may need to be conducted at King’s College Hospital in addition.
The post holder will primarily be based in the “CAR Mechanics” Research group, within the Department of Research Oncology in Guy’s Hospital. The laboratory staff currently numbers four post-doctoral research associates, five technicians and three PhD students, all of whom undertake highly related research in the area of adoptive T-cell immunotherapy. Most of our activities involves the engineering of chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cells, which is the focus of this post.
The salary will be paid at Grade 6, £32,600 per annum, plus £2,323 per annum London Allowance.
This post will be Fixed Term Contract for 9 months.
