The University of Alberta Maple Leaf Centenary Scholarship is offered every year. This scholarship is offered exclusively for international students interested in studying at the university of Alberta.

Value: $20,000 over four years ($5,000 per year)

Conditions of Award:

The University of Alberta Maple Leaf Centenary Scholarship is awarded to student(s) on Study Permit(s) with superior academic achievement entering the first year of an undergraduate degree program at the University of Alberta from a high school in Canada.

Selection based on academic standing, leadership qualities as demonstrated by involvement in extracurricular and community activities, and a counselor’s letter of recommendation.  Renewal of funding for the second, third, and fourth years is contingent upon achieving a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a full normal course load at the University of Alberta, while studying on a Study Permit.  Transfer students are not eligible for this scholarship.

Method of application:

Students will be considered for this Scholarship if they have applied for both Scholastic Distinction (Entrance Citations) for International Students and International Entrance Leadership.
