Description
The H M Hubbard Law Scholarship is awarded annually to postgraduate law students, qualified and practicing solicitors in England or Wales, who would like to study law in Canada, France or Spain.
The scholarship covers fees, living expenses and travel expenses and recent scholars have been awarded between £14,000 and £27,000.
The scholarship provides a superb opportunity to obtain an insight into the law of another country while experiencing different cultures.
Application Criteria
The Applicant
You must either be a qualified or practicing in England or Wales, or have completed the academic stage of qualification as a solicitor in England or Wales, through obtaining either:
You must also demonstrate that you intended to pursue a career as a solicitor of the senior courts in England and Wales.
The Course
The course must be in Canada, France or Spain, during the term of the award and follow the law and legal procedures of that country. Courses in France or Spain can follow the law of the European Union.
Scholarships are usually awarded for courses which are at post-graduate level, taken at a leading university, and lead to a formal qualification such as a LLM or equivalent.
