Nigerians are making waves in Canada. The University of Calgary record was broken on June 1st 2022 by Nigerians studying in Canada when all the graduands of the LLM masters in Law degree program are Nigerians. This is a full attestation to the fact that when Nigerians are provided an enabling environment and positively challenged, they will always come out in flying colors.
The dean of Law, University of Calgary, Canada, Professor Ian Holloway has declared with excitement that all the nine Law Graduates with LLM at University’s 2022 Convocation are Nigerians.
Nigerians – nine – were the only graduands from the masters of laws at the University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada.
The Dean of the institution, Ian Holloway, said this in a tweet on June 1st 2022 – on his handle while celebrating the feat.
“This is cool. We have 9 students graduating with their LLMs today. All are Nigerian! @ProfXtian @NigeriaGov,” he said in the post in which he also tagged the Nigerian Government.
The 9 Nigerians that met the requirements for the award of LLM degree include Oluchi Jennifer Chijioke, Maryam Wuraola Lawal, Ola Eke-Okoro, Toritsemofe, Emmanuella Uche Odum, and Alexandra Mene.
