The National High-Performance Computing (NHR) Graduate School in Germany invites applications for its fully funded PhD scholarships from both German and international students.
The NHR Graduate School Scholarship provides:

About the NHR Graduate School
The NHR Graduate School awards fully funded PhD positions annually to outstanding candidates from around the world. Successful applicants will pursue their doctoral studies at one of nine NHR Centers—affiliated with top German universities recognized internationally for their expertise in high-performance computing (HPC), numerical simulation, and AI/ML.
Each NHR Center offers diverse research areas for PhD theses, providing access to state-of-the-art facilities and collaborative environments.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Hold a Master’s degree in computer science, mathematics, natural sciences, engineering, or a related field
- Meet the doctoral admission requirements of the chosen NHR Center
- Fulfill any additional criteria outlined in the relevant university’s doctoral regulations
- Be of any nationality, gender, or background
Scholarship Benefits
- Funding for a maximum of 36 months
- €2,200 monthly stipend
