Application closing date: 12pm noon, Thursday 9 January 2014 Birmingham Law School is delighted to be participating in the AHRC Midlands3Cities consortium for doctoral studentships from 2014â2018. The Midlands3Cities Doctoral Training Partnership (M3C DTP) will be awarding 410 PhD studentships over a five-year period to excellent research students in the arts and humanities. The DTP, a collaboration between the universities of Birmingham, Leicester and Nottingham, Birmingham City University, De Montfort University and Nottingham Trent University, provides research candidates with cross-institutional mentoring, expert supervision â including cross-institutional supervision where appropriate â subject-specific and generic training, and professional support in preparing for a career. Birmingham Law School welcomes applicants with research interests in any field of law or a law-related subject. Research proposals are welcomed from the full range of perspectives, including: comparative, doctrinal, historical, international, theoretical and ethical approaches to law.
