American Academy in Rome, Rome Prize
Scholarship Description:
The American Academy in Rome ,Rome Prize award is an annual scholarship award setup to identify and encourage American artists and scholars who represent the highest standard of excellence and who are in the early or middle stages of their careers. About thirty scholarships are awarded every year.
The deadline for the nation-wide Rome Prize competition is 1 November every year . For 2016, Applications will also be accepted between 2-15 November 2016 for an additional fee.
Target disciplines: Fine arts and Humanities.
Depending on the type of fellowship, the scholarship could range from $10,000 to $20,000
Eligibility: United States citizens. Foreign nationals who have lived in the U.S. for the three years immediately preceding the application deadline may apply for the NEH post-doctoral fellowships.
Graduate students in the humanities may apply only for pre-doctoral fellowships. Previous winners of the pre-doctoral Rome Prize are not eligible to apply for the Academy's post-doctoral fellowships. Please see web-site for further details and application materials.
