The School of Medicine and Dentistry is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Clinical Research Fellow in the Osteoporosis Research Unit for a project funded by the University of Aberdeen Development Trust. The post will be based at the Foresterhill Campus (co-located with NHS Grampian's Aberdeen Royal Infirmary) and be part of a team led by Professor David Reid, Head of School of Medicine & Dentistry and Honorary Consultant Rheumatologist.
You will be involved in a comprehensive programme of Health Services research examining the needs for and utility of a Mobile Bone Density (DXA) scanner, which has recently been provided by Grampian Osteoporosis Trust.
You will be expected to enroll for a PhD and as such the role will be available for a period of three years. You will be co-supervised by Professor Reid, Dr Alison Black, Consultant Rheumatologist and Professor Lorna McKee, Professor of Management, Health Services Research Unit, University of Aberdeen. You will also require to have a National Training Number in Rheumatology.
You must have full GMC registration with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and ability to work to both clinical and scientific deadlines.
The salary will be paid in the range of £31,301 - £41,564 per annum on the salary scale for Clinical Staff Not Holding Clinical Consultant contracts. Placement on this scale will be according to qualifications and experience.
