The School of Psychology at the University of Dundee invites applications for a funded PhD studentship allowing the successful candidate to complete their doctorate working with top researchers in the School. This studentship is jointly funded by the EPSRC and the School of Psychology and will start in January 2014. Applicants will be expected to hold a First or Upper Second class degree in Psychology (or in a related area) before they commence their PhD studies and must demonstrate a relevant connection with the UK, fulfilling the EPSRC student eligibility requirements (http://www.epsrc.ac.uk/skills/students/help/Pages/eligibility.aspx).Â
The area of research will be within the general area of experimental psychology falling broadly within the EPSRC remit http://www.epsrc.ac.uk/research/ourportfolio/researchareas/Pages/researchareas.aspx).
The package offered will cover home fees and, if applicable, a stipend at the minimum Research Council rate (currently £13,796 per annum), tenable for three years on a full-time basis (subject to satisfactory progress). The successful applicant will be required to take on teaching and/or marking duties which will not exceed 5 hours/week during teaching weeks.
