The College of Science and Engineering at the University of Glasgow is offering funded places for the MSc in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, available for the September 2013 intake.Â
The MSc in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology teaches you the skills desired by modern industry for scientist and engineers doing research, development and production in nanoscience and nanofabrication. This multidisciplinary programme will complement your background in electronic, materials science, or physics.
Those who study an MSc in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology will benefit from access to the James Watt Nanofabrication Centre (JWNC) cleanrooms and the Kelvin Nanocharacterisation Centre. The JWNC holds a number of world records in nanofabrication including records for the performance of nanoscale electronic and optoelectronic devices.
Studying a Masters allows you to develop high-level skills and advanced knowledge to further your career. This funding is an excellent opportunity to gain additional skills and expertise at a postgraduate level, with programmes being selected on the basis of industry skills gaps in Scotland.
Applications for SFC funded places are open for entry in September 2013.
Eligibility and Entry Requirements
This funding has been awarded to the College of Science and Engineering from the Scottish Funding Council. This funding is for tuition fees only, payment of £5,000, and is available to Scottish and EU students.
The MSc in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology requires a minimum 2:2 Honours degree or equivalent in a relevant subject. Science graduates may apply for this programme.
