Funded PhD Studentships: Political. Social and International Studies

The Faculty is pleased to offer up to 10 University-funded PhD studentships.

The Studentships will be available to applicants on a competitive basis and will be awarded on academic merit and the overall strength of the application. In the research proposal, applicants should clearly demonstrate academic excellence in areas relevant to the strategic interests of the School of Political. Social and International Studies.

Available to students from within or outside the EU:

  • Faculty studentships cover tuition fees (UK/EU rates), a tax-free maintenance grant (currently £13,726 per year), and a research training support grant.
  • International students are welcome to apply but due to funding restrictions must be able to pay the difference between UK/EU fees and international fees.
