According to the website: Over 2,800 scholarships of up to $5,000 will be awarded this academic year for U.S. citizen undergraduates to study or intern abroadThe Gilman Scholarship program serves students who have been underrepresented in study abroad, which includes but is not limited to: students with financial need, community college students, students in underrepresented fields such as the sciences and engineering, students from diverse ethnic backgrounds, students attending minority-serving institutions and students with disabilities.
