Leverhulme Trust Behavioural Science PhD Studentship

The Behavioral Science group at WBS focuses on the interaction between the natural and social science approaches to understanding behavior. The group is highly interdisciplinary, using methods drawn from psychology, economics, philosophy, and statistics. The group conducts basic and applied research, and has many links to industry.

The Studentships Warwick Business School (WBS) is pleased to invite applicants for one fully funded PhD Studentship.

One studentship will be funded by the Leverhulme Trust programme award on Value.   The topic areas can include how people arrive at values under risk and uncertainty and over time, or how individual values may be elicited and aggregated for public policy purposes. Applicants with a background in microeconomics, welfare economics and/or the psychology of judgment and decision making are particularly invited to apply. Supervision will be by Graham Loomes and Daniel Read from Behavioural Science.

Awards available:  1 award available

Funding Details: The Studentships will pay an annual maintenance allowance at the standard rate of £13,590 (based on the ESRC’s current rate) and Tuition Fees at the Home/EU rate

Length of Award: 3 years (PhD)

Eligibility: Open to both Home/EU and Overseas applicants. Overseas applicants are welcome to apply but,if successful, due to funding restrictions will have to pay the difference between the Home/EU and Overseas Fees.
