The Personal Social Services Research Unit (PSSRU), which is part of LSE Health and Social Care, is a research unit based within the Social Policy Department at the LSE. Directed by Professor Martin Knapp, PSSRU is part of a consortium that has been awarded funding from the European Commission Marie Curie Scheme for the project MARATONE: Mental Health Training through Research Network in Europe to develop methodologies for measuring the individual and social impact of mental health disorders and provide young researchers with scientific expertise in mental health.
PSSRU is seeking to appoint an early stage, full-time Marie Curie Research Officer (Doctoral Scholarship) to undertake PhD research on the cost-effectiveness of mental health and wellbeing promotion initiatives, including those in workplace-based settings. The Marie Curie Research Officer (Doctoral Scholarship) will register for the PhD programme within the Department of Social Policy at the LSE from 1 October 2013 and complete this programme by 30 September 2016.
