An exciting opportunity has arisen for three postgraduate research positions within the Faculty of Health, Life & Social Sciences, located within the recently opened ?60million campus in the West of Edinburgh. We offer an exceptional cross-disciplinary environment and experience and are seeking high calibre candidates with a strong academic background in a relevant discipline.

Successful candidates should hold a good Honours degree in a relevant discipline (nursing, psychology, social work, AHP), and if successful will be enrolled as a postgraduate student at Edinburgh Napier University. Registration fees are available for EU students and consumables for each of the projects will be provided. Positions are available from October 2014 for one year.

Applications will be considered in the following areas:

  • The association between life events / trauma, substance misuse and offending in people with learning disabilities.
  • Posttraumatic growth and positive psychosocial approaches to mental?health?following adverse life events.
  • Self-management of diabetes in people with learning disabilities.
