MSc studentship in Chemistry - Catalysis

The Cardiff School of Chemistry is pleased to offer a number of studentships for students studying the MSc in Catalysis. The course will provide training in the state-of-the-art of catalysis theory, application, preparation and analysis and is recommended for graduates in chemistry or chemical engineering wishing to pursue a career in academia or industry.

This is for the taught MSc Catalysis course and not for PGR research projects

Funding

The Studentship will include full tuition fees. An additional stipend will also be offered to outstanding candidates, at the following levels:

  • Applicants with a 1st class degree will receive a stipend of £4,000
  • Applicants with a 2:1 class degree will receive a stipend of £3,000
  • Applicants with a 2:2 class degree will receive a stipend of £2,000

The Cardiff School of Chemistry is located in the Main Building, part of Cathays Park campus that boasts an outstanding central location. The School has an excellent reputation across the range of modern chemical sciences, with particular strengths in surface science, catalysis, chemical biology, solid state/materials chemistry, physical organic chemistry, synthesis and theoretical chemistry.
