  • Tissue and Protein engineering
  • Genetics, Evolution and Developmental biology
  • Neuroscience and Behavioural Science
  • Population biology and Ecology
  • Mathematical modelling of biological systems

Information on the kinds of projects that are available can be found here.

In the first six months you will gain experience of working in different research areas by undertaking a series of 3 mini-projects in different labs. You will benefit from a wrap-around tailored training programme. Take a look at the 2013 programme details.

The research expertise within these areas can be found under the research pages of the Schools of Life Sciences, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biosciences, Psychology, Mathematics, Medicine and Rothamsted Research.

Applications are invited from students with backgrounds in Biology, Microbiology, Bioscience, Biochemistry, Genetics, Chemistry, Biochemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Pharmacy, Maths or related disciplines who have or are expected to graduate with a first or upper second, BSc (MSc) or equivalent.
