A fully funded PhD studentship is available for fMRI investigation of cognition in multiple sclerosis. This studentship will provide an opportunity for the successful candidate to develop skills in a range of MRI techniques, as well as knowledge of cognitive neuropsychology in the context of MS.
The supervisor will be Professor Dawn Langdon (http://pure.rhul.ac.uk/portal/en/persons/dawn-langdon_1a637f24-3347-4da3-bfc4-e5755dbfe530.html) and the Advisor will be Professor Andy Smith. There will be work with patients and relatives to collect cognitive performance and questionnaire data. The first year will include an international collaboration with University of Brussels. Some international travel will be required and MR scanning is likely to be in the evenings or Saturday mornings on occasion, in line with participant preferences.
