Studentships available for a 4-year Interdisciplinary PhD programme in Global Food Security.
The University of Nottingham and Rothamsted Research are recognised centres of excellence for research and education in the Biosciences. Applications are invited to our joint, innovative, integrated four-year PhD training programme with research opportunities in Global Food Security (GFS). Providing, safe, sustainable food, with low environmental input for an increasing population is one of the most significant challenges facing the world and as such is a major Research Priority area of The University of Nottingham (GFS Priority Area) and Rothamsted Research (Food Security). Addressing this challenge requires integrative research across a range of disciplines, including understanding agricultural traits to improve yield, quality and production of plants and animals, food safety, processing and supply chains. Eligibility
Eligibility for full funding is restricted to UK and EU students.
To be eligible applicants must have (or be expected to achieve) a first or upper second class UK honours degree, or the equivalent qualifications gained outside the UK and/or a postgraduate Masters degree in a relevant subject.
