A PhD studentship starting in October 2013 has become available in the School of Psychology at the University of Surrey. The studentship is funded by the DSTL and covers fees for home/EU students, a stipend and research costs.
The PhD will study Neural Correlates of Cognitive Function under Physical Strain using mobile EEG. The work is conducted in collaboration with the University of Oldenburg (Professor Debener) and provides opportunities for international exchange. German language skills are a bonus but not mandatory. Candidates with a cognitive neuroscience/experimental psychology background, experience in EEG research and programming skills are particularly encouraged to apply.
The School of Psychology at the University of Surrey is ranked 8th in the country and equipped with state of the art neuroscience laboratories. It has a vibrant research community and provides an excellent study environment for postgraduate research students.
