The Department of Engineering, University of Leicester, is pleased to offer a fully-funded PhD studentship in Control Engineering for October 2013 entry.
The studentship is funded jointly by Aero Engine Controls - part of the Rolls-Royce Group - and the Department of Engineering.
The studentship will pay UK/EU tuition fees for three years and includes an annual stipend worth £14,000 each year.
This research project is linked to the development of the modelling and control aspects of the Hydro Mechanical Unit (HMU)/Fuel Metering Unit (FMU), which is part of the fuel distribution system of the Rolls-Royce Trent engines.
The successful applicant will be supervised by Dr Andrea Lecchini-Visintini.
