Limit of tenure: Three-year Phd Studentship
The Department of Land Economy at the University of Cambridge are offering a three-year PhD studentship to start in January or April 2014. The studentship will include University and College fees at the Home/EU rate, research support and a stipend of £13,590 in line with the current RCUK rates. The PhD will be supervised by Dr Franz Fuerst and will examine the impact of the University of Cambridge's development at North West Cambridge on housing affordability. The proposed development project is the largest capital investment in the University's history and one of the largest construction projects ever to be undertaken in the City of Cambridge. The main output of the proposed research will be a forecast of the house price and rent response to the proposed North West Cambridge development.Â

To apply for this position, applicants should supply a cover letter setting out why they are suitable and interested in the studentship, an up-to-date CV to include contact details of two academic referees and a research proposal of no more than two sides of A4 which should include how they would suggest approaching the research, existing relevant research on the issue and likely data collection and modelling issues.
