The School of Health in Social Science is looking to recruit a PhD Teaching Assistant for 5.5 hours per week until the end of July 2014
This fixed term, part-time post, situated in the section of Clinical Psychology, is for a PhD student in clinical psychology, psychology or related discipline, who will use their academic knowledge of research methodologies in child and adolescent psychology, computing skills and student experience to support the development of an online postgraduate course in psychological research with children and adolescents. The project is working to clear deadlines and the post-holder is required to be highly organised and efficient in managing their workload to ensure key tasks are delivered on time.
The final product will be a credit-bearing postgraduate course at the University of Edinburgh, and a very high standard of academic ability, especially research methodology, computing skills and written communication skills will be required. The post-holder would be exposed to resource development, quality teaching and learning principles in the online context, as well as the chance to participate in teaching and research activities within the School and across the University as part of his/her own personal development.
Salary: £25,759 to £29,837 per annum, pro rata.
