Scholarship Details This scholarship (Brunel's Women in Engineering programme) is designed, with industry, to support women engineers to become future leaders in engineering.?The programme runs in parallel to your chosen MSc course, providing additional contact with industry through mentoring and site visits, and professional development training designed specifically for female postgraduate students.?In return you will become ambassadors for the engineering profession and this programme. For 2014-15, we are offering 40 scholarships for UK/EU female students, covering both tuition fees for qualifying full-time MSc courses and a living allowance of £15,000.

The following is one of the qualifying courses:

Renewable Energy Engineering MSc The Renewable Energy Engineering course is designed to look at the extensive consumption of fossil fuels worldwide, which has been contributing increasingly to global warming, air pollution and imminent energy crisis. One of the global challenges of the 21st century is to tackle these risks surrounding excessive CO2 emissions by replacing fossil fuels with renewable energy sources such as solar, wind and biomass.? The aims of this course are:

To provide education at postgraduate level in Renewable Energy.
To develop the versatility and depth to deal with new, complex and unusual challenges across a range of Renewable Energy issues, drawing on an understanding of all aspects of renewable energy principles including economic assessment.
To develop imagination, initiative and creativity to enable graduates to follow a successful engineering career with national and international companies and organisations.
To provide a pathway that will prepare graduates for successful careers including, where appropriate, progression to Chartered Engineer status.
To set up a strong foundation for those who expect to continue onto a PhD or industrial research and development.?
