The Psychology group in the Department of Psychology, Sociology and Politics at Sheffield Hallam University intends to appoint a Demonstrator on a three-year fixed term studentship from 4th November 2013.
The Psychology Research Group at Sheffield Hallam University is well-established, with staff working on a broad range of mainly applied research projects producing high quality research publications. We have excellently equipped research laboratories, which include facilities for EEG, eye-tracking and observation. Successful applicants will be located in our Collegiate Crescent Graduate School alongside existing higher degree students within this thriving research environment.    Â
The studentship is for a period of three years, subject to satisfactory progress and will include full UK/EU tuition fees and an annual stipend of £13,726. Demonstrators undertake certain teaching assistant duties such as helping conduct psychology laboratories, in addition to working towards a PhD qualification. Â
Applicants should hold a 1st or 2.1 honours degree in Psychology. A Masters degree in a relevant subject area would be an advantage.
We are particularly interested in supervising projects in the following areas, and preference will be given to applicants with an interest in developing research in one of these areas:
'The effect of context on the perceived trajectory of a mobile'
