Scholarship Details : Name of the Supervisors Programme Director: Professor A Hurlbert, Institute of Neuroscience Programme Deputy Directors: Professor A Thiele, Professor S Baker, Professor T Griffiths Sponsor Reece Foundation Duration of the Award Four years (Starting October 2014) Project Description The Reece Foundation MRes/PhD Studentship in Translational Neuroscience is a competitive award aimed at supporting the most promising students to undertake in-depth postgraduate research training. The first year combines taught courses from the MRes (Neuroscience) programme with laboratory rotations. During the first year, students will make an informed choice of their three-year PhD research project from project offerings in human sensory, motor and cognitive systems neuroscience, with a focus on translational research. Value of the Award and Eligibility Applicants should have, or expect to obtain, a first-class or upper-second class Honours degree, or equivalent, in science, mathematics or engineering. Support includes a stipend for four years, fees at UK/EU rate, research expenses, general training funds and some travel costs.
