Funding amount: Each award will cover a one year annual stipend of £5,000. The student will receive four quarterly payments of £1,250. If you are a part-time student, the figures will be adjusted accordingly.

This MSc in Applied Health Research provides ideal training for anyone wanting to become a professional researcher in the applied health field or for anyone wishing to develop a career in the health sector, where the ability to take a critical, evidence-based approach to health problems and solutions is increasingly valued. The course offers students an excellent grounding in applied health research methods, including systematic reviews, RCTs, epidemiology, applied statistics and qualitative methods. Teaching is led by senior staff in the Department who are acknowledged experts in their fields and the large majority of teaching sessions take place in small groups.
The closing date is 7 March 2016 before 16:00h UTC. Applications will not be considered for the studentship after this date.
Start date:Â October 2016
Requirements:Â Only applicants with a minimum of 2.1 degree or equivalent will be considered for the scholarship. For students whose first language is not English there is a minimum requirement of an IELTS score of at least 6.5 in each component of the test and an overall score of at least 7.
