African Leadership Academy Scholarship Program 2026 – Applications Now Open
The African Leadership Academy (ALA) is now accepting applications for the Class of 2026. ALA seeks to identify and support Africa’s most promising young leaders—individuals who demonstrate the potential to drive lasting change on the continent and beyond.
This highly competitive program provides full scholarships and a transformative, two-year pre-university experience through ALA’s unique Entrepreneurial Leadership and African Studies Diploma.
What ALA Looks For
ALA’s admissions process is designed to evaluate not just academic excellence but the character and leadership potential of applicants. Each year, over 2,000 applicants compete for around 130 spots in the incoming class.
Applicants are assessed using a holistic selection model, which includes:

Eligibility Criteria for ALA 2026

- Be prepared to engage in a rigorous, English-language curriculum
