Oxford hosts one of 21 Doctoral Training Centres accredited by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC). In 2014 up to 80 ESRC studentships are available across the Social Sciences. See theÂ Social Sciences Doctoral Training Centre websiteÂ for details.

Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) funded studentships are also available for the Oxford Doctoral Training Partnership in Environmental Research http://www.environmental-research.ox.ac.uk/index.html

Part-time Courses

Oxford offers many opportunities for part-time postgraduate study, with over 1,500 students enrolled on part-time masterâs, postgraduate certificate and diploma courses, and doctoral programmes. These are available through a number of departments, including the Department for Continuing Educationâs Graduate School. A range of scholarships are available to students on these courses.
