You will conduct research in a project related to hepatobiliary or liver transplant surgery tailored to your area of interest, this research will be aimed at obtaining a higher degree (M Phil, MD or PhD). You will be based between Newcastle University and the Spire Washington (RMO)
This position is ideally suited to a surgeon who has completed the MRCS and has already demonstrated an interest in surgical research. It is expected that you will submit your work for an MD or equivalent relating to transplant surgery. There will be opportunities to assist in the renal transplant program and honorary clinical status will be given at the Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The position is tenable for 1 year in the first instance.
