Applications are invited for a 12 month fully-funded studentship for a research Masters degree (MRes).

The desired applicant will have a good grasp of (inorganic) chemical sciences and a passion for soil analysis. Good communication skills, being a self-starter, and the ability to work independently are necessary attributes.

The deadline for uploading completed applications is 9 am UK time Monday 8^st July 2013. The studentship will start on 16 September 2013. Interviews will take place at HAU for shortlisted UK applicants, and by Skype for shortlisted applicants from other countries.

The studentship includes tuition and bench fees and a stipend of Â£13,500.

Applicants from both EU and non-EU countries are eligible for stipend and fees.Â Applicants will normally be expected to hold a bachelorâs degree with a first or upper second class or a high GPA in an appropriate subject.

A minimum level of competency in English is required.Â International applicants need to be classed as an overall grade 6.5 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component using the International English Language Test System (IELTS) or equivalent Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or PTE score.
