MSc Social Business and Microfinance ? the first MSc of its kind in the world
Jointly delivered by Glasgow School for Business and Society and The Yunus Centre for Social Business and Health at GCU, a leading international centre for research on social business and home to world class researchers, the MSc in Social Business and Microfinance is the first of its kind in the world. Inspired by the achievements of GCU's Chancellor Yunus, Nobel Peace Prize winner & global anti-poverty campaigner, the programme is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge to critically evaluate the power of business and to implement positive social change in global environments.
Students will reflect on contemporary issues facing business and society, explore international and intercultural perspectives, and engage with international research to strengthen their understanding of the global political economy, social business and the expanding microfinance sector. By advancing their knowledge and expertise in the sector, students will be able to respond critically and creatively to the challenges arising in the microfinance sector.
