Applications are invited for a student to investigate the role and potential of eye tracking and simulations in either the design of electric vehicle interiorsÂ
Funded by: Coventry University - Coventry School of Art and Design
Fees: UK/EU fee equivalent for three years
Maintenance grant: £13,726 maintenance per annum (tax free)

Details of proposed research:
The use of eye tracking in automotive ergonomic s is well established. The proposed research will address the way in which this can be taken forward, and together with physiological and other measurements used to aid the design of new vehicle interiors.
The exact focus of the research will be negotiated with the students, and there is scope for a motivated student to direct the research e.g. looking at learner drivers, elderly drivers and their interaction with new in vehicle technology, use of physiological and psychological measures to influence the design of future HMI
