The PAU/MTN Media Innovation Program, a collaborative initiative between MTN and Pan-Atlantic University, is designed to equip young Africans with the skills to leverage technology for creating impactful media content.
Selected participants will receive full funding to undergo training in South Africa, with all expenses covered. This program aims to enhance their knowledge, expand their skill set, and deepen their understanding of the evolving media landscape.
The MTN Media Innovation Programme (MIP) spans six months, featuring a structured six-week training for media practitioners in Nigeria. Through this initiative, participants will gain valuable insights into the dynamic media industry and learn how to harness technology for meaningful content creation.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the MTN Media Innovation Programme, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be a media professional or practitioner.
- Possess a valid international passport.
- Successfully pass a written test and any subsequent interviews.
- Obtain a written release from their employer to participate in the program.
Programme Benefits
This six-month, fully funded fellowship is designed to support the sustainable growth of Nigeria’s evolving media landscape. It is open to media professionals across various platforms, including print, electronic, digital, and social media content creation.
Participants will:
- Gain in-depth knowledge of Nigeria’s technology sector and its intersection with media.

Programme Structure
The MTN Media Innovation Programme consists of a structured training schedule, including:
70 Days of Training
- 33 Days in Class – In-depth learning sessions.
- 19 Days on Campus – Practical and interactive engagements.
- 5 Days Off Campus – Hands-on experience and industry exposure.
- 7 Days in South Africa – A fully funded training program.
Corporate & Industry Exposure
- 2 Days at MTN Nigeria Headquarters – Exclusive training at MTN Nigeria and MTN Group Headquarters.
- 1 Day Industry Visit – A one-day session at the Innovation Hub.
- 1 Day in Nature – A unique outdoor experience.
- 1 Day Capstone Project – A comprehensive final project to showcase learnings.
