Looking for work on campus can be a daunting task. The student should have minimum computer skills to be able to navigate through the job sites within the school website. Certain jobs on campus may or may not require previous working experience. The category of jobs that require experience may pay a little bit more but will be very competitive. And this might be an exasperating experience for you especially as an international student with less language skills or worst still if you speak with an accent. The jobs that may require specific skills may include research work on specific subject areas, software programs, data analysis, technical skill related work etc. Other jobs that do not require experience may be easy to find but will depend on how well you network at school. Jobs leads are largely based on information from friends and network groups. Non-skilled jobs may include casual event security work, clerical work, cleaning, event planning, data processing, Library assistants etc. In as much as you are willing to work, most schools have specific rules that students must adhere to in order to be eligible to work on campus.
