2025 Illinois Wesleyan University Presidential & Merit Scholarship Requirements
Eligibility Criteria:
To be considered for the Illinois Wesleyan University Scholarships, applicants must:

Be an international student

Meet the university’s English language proficiency requirements

Complete the admissions application before the deadline
Scholarship Benefits:

Merit Scholarships: Awarded between $16,000 and $38,000 per year, renewable for up to four years for students who complete the admissions application.

Presidential Scholarships: Two full-tuition scholarships are awarded annually to exceptional international students based on their academic achievements, talents, and interests.
Required Documents for Illinois Wesleyan University Merit Scholarship
Applicants must submit the following:

Completed application form

Official transcripts from all previous high school and/or college coursework

Application essay

Teacher evaluation or recommendation letter (For CommonApp users, the School Report evaluation fulfills this requirement, but additional letters are welcome.)

ACT/SAT scores OR personal interview (for test-optional applicants)

English proficiency test (TOEFL or IELTS) for international students whose native language is not English
