The University of British Columbia (UBC) is now accepting applications for the 2026 Four Year Doctoral Fellowship (4YF) Program. This prestigious, fully funded scholarship provides a minimum of $18,200 per year, plus full tuition coverage for up to four years of doctoral study.
The program is designed to support exceptional domestic and international students pursuing a PhD, DMA, or MDPhD at UBC, offering them stable, long-term financial support throughout their research journey.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the UBC 4YF Program, applicants must:
- Be either domestic or international students
- Apply for admission to a full-time PhD, DMA, or MDPhD program at UBC
- Be entering the first year of their doctoral studies (continuing students may also be considered)
- Maintain satisfactory academic progress to retain the fellowship
- Be selected based on academic excellence, as recommended by the admitting graduate program
