KAUST Global Fellowship Program 2025 – Fully Funded Research Opportunity in Saudi Arabia
The King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) is now accepting applications for the 2025 KAUST Global Fellowship Program, a prestigious initiative aimed at supporting exceptional emerging research leaders and scientists from around the world.
This fully funded fellowship offers a competitive annual stipend of $75,000, along with generous benefits, enabling fellows to carry out innovative, independent research in a world-class academic environment.
Program Overview
The KAUST Global Fellowship is a merit-based program designed to empower early-career postdoctoral researchers with breakthrough ideas. It provides them with full access to KAUST’s cutting-edge research tools, state-of-the-art laboratories, and a vibrant international scientific community.
Fellows are expected to:

Engage in independent research aligned with KAUST’s strategic priorities

Collaborate with KAUST faculty and research centers

Contribute to global scientific advancement for the benefit of humanity
Fellowship Benefits
Each KAUST Global Fellow will receive:

Annual stipend of $75,000
-
Research funding up to $40,000 (subject to field and project scope)

Medical insurance

Free housing on campus

Schooling support for up to 2 children

Relocation and travel allowances
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, applicants must:
-
Have obtained a PhD within the last four calendar years (e.g., January 2020 onwards for 2024 applicants)

Complete their PhD before the fellowship start date
-
Be ready to relocate to KAUST for a three-year research appointment
-
Identify a KAUST faculty member as a host and secure their agreement
-
Be of any nationality (KAUST strongly encourages applications from women to promote gender balance in science)

Proposal Requirements
To be considered, your proposal must:

Be three years in duration
-
Follow the provided budget and formatting templates
-
Be submitted using the official application templates

Two published papers (as attachments)

Research proposal (using the KAUST template)

Letter of support from a KAUST Host PI (template provided)
