About the DESOPADEC Bursary Program
The DESOPADEC Bursary is designed to support full-time undergraduate students from Delta State’s oil-producing communities who are enrolled in accredited Nigerian universities or polytechnics. By easing the financial burden of education, the commission seeks to foster academic success and professional growth among young people in these regions.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the DESOPADEC Bursary 2025, applicants must:
- Be an indigene of Delta State from any of the oil-producing communities: Ijaw, Itsekiri, Urhobo, Ika, Isoko, or Ndokwa.
- Be a full-time undergraduate student enrolled in a recognized Nigerian university or polytechnic.
- Be in 200 level or above at the time of application.
- Not be enrolled in a part-time, pre-degree, or postgraduate program.
Bursary Benefits
Successful applicants will receive a bursary award ranging from ₦20,000 to ₦50,000, depending on availability and individual assessment.
