DHL Scholarship for the Climate Entrepreneurship Academy at NYU – Fully Funded Opportunity for Young Leaders in the Americas
AFS Intercultural Programs, in partnership with DHL, invites young changemakers from the Americas region to apply for the fully funded DHL Scholarship to attend the Climate Entrepreneurship Academy, taking place August 6–10, 2025, in New York City. Delivered by the NYU Center for Global Affairs, this program empowers young leaders to create innovative solutions to today’s climate challenges.
About the DHL Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be 18–35 years old by the start of the program
- Reside in the Americas region
- Be first-time participants of the AFS Youth Assembly
- Be passionate about sustainability and climate action
- Demonstrate active community engagement
- Be able to fully participate in all program sessions, conducted in English
- Hold:
- A U.S. passport, passport that allows visa-free U.S. entry, or
- A valid U.S. visa, as the event is in-person in New York
Selection Criteria
Participants will be chosen based on:
- Passion and commitment to sustainability and climate entrepreneurship
- Track record of community involvement
- Potential to contribute to the global climate innovation ecosystem
Scholarship Benefits
The DHL Scholarship covers:
- Full registration for the Climate Entrepreneurship Academy (part of the AFS Youth Assembly, Aug 6–10, 2025)
- A travel stipend (reimbursed transportation costs)
- Five nights of hotel accommodation in New York City (shared room, with daily breakfast)
- Exclusive evening dinner cruise in New York Harbor with fellow Youth Assembly delegates
