The Midwestern Oil and Gas Scholarship is designed to promote academic excellence and enhance skill-based education among the youth in our host communities and Delta State. The scholarship offers an annual fund of N150,000 to support the education and career development of qualified Nigerian students. Midwestern Oil and Gas is now inviting eligible Nigerian students to apply for the 2025 Midwestern Oil and Gas Scholarship Scheme.
Midwestern Oil & Gas Company Limited, the operator of the Umusadege Field in OML 56, Delta State, along with its JV partner SunTrust Oil Company Nigeria Limited, has been committed to fostering long-term progress in its host communities and across Delta State. Since the commencement of production, the company has consistently invested in human capital development to drive economic growth and create lasting opportunities for the local population.
Midwestern Oil and Gas Scholarship Requirements
To be eligible for the Midwestern Oil and Gas University Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
UNIVERSITY COMMUNITY AWARD – For Host Communities Only
- Open to 100 and 200-level students at the time of application.
- Must have a minimum of 5 Credits in SSCE or GCE, including Mathematics and English, obtained in one sitting.
- Provide JAMB/UTME results and a University admission letter from an accredited/approved university in Nigeria.
- A current University ID Card.
- An identification letter signed by the Ward Councilor or CACC (Community Accredited Contact-men Committee).
UNIVERSITY MERIT AWARD – For Delta State Indigenes Only
- Open to 200-level students with a minimum CGPA of 3.5 at the time of application.
- Must have at least 5 Credits in SSCE or GCE, including Mathematics and English, in one sitting.
- Provide JAMB/UTME results and a University admission letter from an accredited/approved university in Nigeria.
- A current University ID Card.
- Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.5 or above from the first year of university.
- A letter of identification from the Local Government Area (LGA).
Midwestern Oil and Gas Scholarship Duration and Reward
The Midwestern Oil and Gas Scholarship provides an annual support of N150,000, awarded each year until the student’s graduation.
Note:
- The application for the Midwestern JV Scholarship is FREE.
- SCHOLASTICA is the official platform for the Midwestern JV University Scholarship Award.
- Be cautious of fraudulent websites during the application process. These sites may ask for payment, which is not required for the scholarship.
- Email applications are NOT accepted.
- Midwestern JV does NOT have representatives or agents to assist with the application process.
- Candidates found submitting false documents will be disqualified at any stage of the scholarship process.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for the computer-based test.
How to Apply for the Midwestern Oil and Gas Scholarship 2025
To apply for the Midwestern Oil and Gas Scholarship, follow these steps:

- Click “Apply Now” – On the top right corner of the page, click the “Apply Now” tab.
- Create an Account – Select “Register Now” to create your account.
- Activate Your Account – Go to your email inbox to activate your account.
- Enter Your Information – Fill in your personal details, National Identification Number, educational information, and any other required data. Upload the necessary scanned documents.
- Ensure Consistency in Names – The name you use in the application must match exactly with the names on all your documents in the same order. If there’s a discrepancy, upload a sworn affidavit or certificate.
- Review Your Documents – After uploading, double-check all documents to ensure they are clear and accurate.
- Upload a Passport Photograph – When prompted to upload a photo, make sure to use a passport-sized photograph with a white background.
- Verify Your Application – Recheck all your information for accuracy to avoid errors.
- Submit Your Application – Click “Apply Now” to submit your application.
- Confirmation – You will receive a confirmation email and SMS once your application is successfully submitted.
