MTN Ghana Foundation Bright Scholarship Reloaded – Now Open for Applications
The MTN Ghana Foundation Bright Scholarship Reloaded is now accepting applications from brilliant but financially challenged Ghanaian students pursuing first degrees or vocational/technical training at public tertiary institutions in Ghana.
Established in 2007, the MTN Ghana Foundation is a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative dedicated to driving sustainable development through impactful projects in Health, Education, and Economic Empowerment. This scholarship aims to support academically excellent students who also demonstrate a commitment to their communities and need financial assistance to pursue higher education.
Eligible Fields of Study
All academic disciplines are welcome to apply, but priority will be given to applicants studying:
- ICT
- Computer Science
- Engineering
- Artificial Intelligence
- Data Analytics
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, applicants must:
- Be Ghanaian citizens
- Be first-year or continuing students enrolled in a public tertiary institution in Ghana (pursuing a first degree or vocational/technical training)
- Demonstrate academic excellence and financial need
- Show a history of good conduct, discipline, and hard work
- Be free from academic disciplinary issues
- Not be currently under any bond of good behavior
- Be active in extra-curricular activities (for continuing students – this is an added advantage)
- Special Consideration will be given to:
- Women and Persons with Disabilities
- Applicants from the Bono East, Ahafo, Savannah, North East, Western North, and Oti regions
Selection Process
Applicants will be evaluated based on:
- Academic performance
- Character and discipline
- Participation in extra-curricular activities
- Regional and demographic considerations
- Shortlisted candidates will be invited to meet with a scholarship panel for further assessment.
Scholarship Benefits
The MTN Bright Scholarship provides full or partial financial support, covering tuition and other relevant academic costs for the duration of the recipient’s study program.

- Log in with your email and password
- Complete the application form with accurate information
- Submit the form along with a letter of motivation and required documents
Note:
- Application is free of charge
- Students already benefiting from other educational scholarships are not eligible to apply
