University of Exeter Excellence Scholarships: Eligibility and Selection Criteria
Who Can Apply?
To be eligible for the University of Exeter Excellence Scholarships, applicants must:
- Hold international fee status, including EU students required to pay international fees for the 2025/26 academic year.
- Have an offer to study an eligible undergraduate degree at the University of Exeter, beginning in September 2025.
Selection Criteria
Scholarships will be awarded based on the following factors:
- Academic Excellence: Applicants must demonstrate outstanding academic performance, with expected or achieved grades equivalent to GCE A-level AAB.
- Personal Statement Review: Candidates should showcase their academic and career aspirations, a clear vision for utilizing their study opportunity, social responsibility, and a commitment to contributing to the Exeter community.
Required Documents
To complete the application, candidates must submit:
- A scholarship application form.
- A personal statement (maximum 300 words) addressing the following:
- What are your future ambitions, and how will studying at Exeter help you achieve them?
- How will you contribute to the academic and social environment at Exeter?
- As a scholarship recipient, how would you serve as an ambassador for the University?
Benefits of the University of Exeter Excellence Scholarships
Recipients of this scholarship will receive a recurring tuition fee discount of either £3,000 or £5,000 for each eligible year of study.
Additionally, this scholarship can be combined with the University of Exeter Undergraduate Scholarships for students from India, China, Turkey, Malaysia, or Thailand, up to a maximum award of £10,000 per eligible year.
How to Apply
After receiving an offer for an eligible program, applicants must complete their scholarship application via the designated webform. The application includes a personal statement responding to the specified questions.
Deadlines:
- Round 1: Closed on 27 February 2025.
- Round 2: Applications must be submitted by 22 April 2025.
- Notification: Applicants will be informed of the results by 14 May 2025.
