You will investigate the role of DNA methylation as a potential mediating mechanism between early life exposures and the development of childhood leukaemia. You will be expected to use a two-step Mendelian randomization approach to analyse existing genome-wide association and epigenome-wide data to consider the role of DNA methylation as a mediator of environmental exposures on childhood leukaemia risk. You will be involved in interpreting the results and preparing them for publication.
You will have a good first degree in a relevant subject and a MPH/MSc/MA in public health, health sciences, health services research, epidemiology, social science or research experience showing equivalent knowledge by significant contribution to several research projects. You will have a PhD for appointment at Associate level.
You will be enthusiastic and self-motivated with an interest in childhood leukaemia. You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work co-operatively with others, but also to work independently.
Tenable for six months, with an end date of no later than 31 March 2017.
