This scholarship was developed in memory of Dr. Anderson Abbott, the first black graduate of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Toronto. Awarded to a black student in any program of study (preference may be given to students in medical or health sciences programs) on the basis of academic achievement, financial need, and contribution to the black community.
