ERC Advanced Grant ‘POLYTRUE? What is the mechanism of the true chronic effect of dietary polyphenols?
Applications are invited for a full-time Postdoctoral Researcher to join the group of Professor Gary Williamson, based in the School of Food Science and Nutrition.
The University of Leeds is one of the leading Universities in the UK and the School of Food Science and Nutrition is the most highly rated in food in the UK. The research group of Professor Gary Williamson focuses on dietary phytochemicals including polyphenols and phenolic acids in foods, their metabolism and health effects, with a focus on energy metabolism.
The post is part of a prestigious European Research Council Advanced Grant awarded to Professor Williamson; “POLYTRUE? What is the mechanism of the true chronic effect of dietary polyphenols?” and is available for a fixed term of 18 months.
Applicants should possess a PhD in biochemistry, cell biology, chemistry, molecular biology or closely related subject along with relevant experience in cell culture, gene expression and protein analysis.
