The Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute conducts cutting edge genomic research on an unprecedented scale and our laboratory teams play a vital role in enabling and supporting our science.
The Cancer Genetics and Genomics programme is currently looking for an enthusiastic and motivated research assistant to carry out routine laboratory protocols and procedures. Successful candidates will have graduated with a science degree; previous laboratory experience will be advantageous.
It will be expected that the successful candidate will be able to work independently or as a team where required in order to fulfill team objectives, they will need a keen eye for detail and are able to use initiative in appropriate settings. Working as part of the wider support team they will be helping to provide laboratory solutions and support for the head of the Cancer Genetics and Genomics Programme and the faculty team.
